This loop is one of the Top 10 Scenic Roads of the Northern Rockies and has been described as 262 miles of splendor. It includes eastern Idaho, western Wyoming, and southwestern Montana. This area abounds with Native American, fur trader and pioneer history. It is also well known for its world class recreation opportunities throughout the year.

In Idaho, Yellowstone-Grand Teton Loop winds through beautiful Teton Scenic Byway, Mesa Falls Scenic Byway, and Island Park. The road continues on to Gallatin County, Montana toward West Yellowstone. From there, it enters Yellowstone National Park and winds down to Grand Teton National Park. These two distinct and beautiful parks are rich with stunning beauty and full of native wildlife. The road then goes through the famous resort town of Jackson Hole. From Jackson, it winds up through the famous Teton Pass to Teton Valley, Idaho.

The businesses along the loop have created the Yellowstone-Grand Teton Loop Road Association, Inc. A website is currently being set up, which should be up and running in mid-May, to allow people to have access to information for businesses and promote tours and events in the surrounding areas. We encourage businesses and institutions in the surrounding area of the Loop road to participate in this wonderful opportunity!

The membership of the association is free for 2010. Please call us 208-354-2500 or email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for more information.
