Fresh powder at Grand Targhee

Grand Targhee Resort, Teton Valley’s local ski resort certainly benefits from the incredible quality and quantity of powder snow. The resort is a short 20 minute drive from downtown Driggs and has more than 2000 acres, and 2000 vertical feet of lift served terrain, and another 1000 acres reserved for snow cat skiing.

 

Just 45 minutes to the east, across the Idaho/Wyoming border, lies arguably the most famous ski resort in the world, the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Jackson Hole is continually rated the most challenging ski resort in North America, and has more than 2500 acres and 4139 vertical feet of lift served terrain, with an additional 2500 acres of backcountry terrain, accessible via gates on the southern boundary of the resort.
